Trikonasana B or Parivrtta Trikonasana (Reversed Triangle Pose)

Parivrtta Trikonasana, Trikonasana B or Revolved triangle pose, is an intermediate asana where you are training your balance and focus. By twisting your body this asana is also beneficial for your digestive system.





How to perform Parivrtta Trikonasana B?


  1. Start in Utthita Trikonasana A (Triangle pose) and start bending your left knee. If your balance is unsteady, adjust the distance between your feet.

  2. Exhale and reach your tight arm up toward the ceiling and keep your gaze at your fingers. Balance on your left arm, yet, it is important to use your core and leg muscles for stability.

  3. You can also push into your both feet to remain in balance. Keep your gaze up at your fingers, keeping shoulders away from ears.

  4. On an exhale, press into your foot and reverse the pose to get out.



Modifications

Bent knee on the back leg, practice this asana against a wall. You should master Trikonasana A well before moving on to Trikonasana B.
