Yin Yoga

Physical & Mental Benefits

Yin yoga is a slow-paced and meditative style of yoga that focuses on targeting the deep connective tissues within the body, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia. In Yin yoga, poses are held for an extended period, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes or even longer, allowing for a gentle and passive stretching of the targeted tissues. This prolonged duration creates a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the practice, exploring sensations, and cultivating a sense of introspection.

The emphasis in Yin yoga is on relaxation and surrender, inviting practitioners to find stillness and observe any sensations or thoughts that arise during the poses. The practice encourages mindfulness, deep breathing, and an overall sense of calmness. By allowing the body to fully relax and surrender into the poses, tension is released, and energy can flow more freely throughout the body.
